.11: Cello [
posted on the 3rd of April

]
I think I'm going to take cello lessons starting this summer. I did piano when I was a kid, but it never really fit me. My mom played cello. So I feel like maybe that could be a way to get close to a part of her? I never knew her but the things I know about her have always been sweet. Anyway, I think I'll do that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it's been a good day for you! A birthday on a Friday must be nice!

Okay, back to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. Anyone here love this as much as me? I need to go buy the soundtrack today. I think I might end up getting that Star Wars Family Guy episode, too.

I know traditionally that people start driving at sixteen but I put it off long enough. My brothers are putting together enough money to buy me a car (and drive it all the way here! I think its an excuse to come visit). So I'm taking driving lessons this week! I thought driving lessons were free, but they aren't. I had to take a test on the computer at the DMV here, too. But I passed! I think I'll do very well.

Family Guy was very funny last night =)

[private to self]  My dad's think it might be best if I stay here, mostly, in the summer. Something about it being more safe than being home. I think maybe our local news is scaring them about psychics and negativity towards psychics. A local kid was beat up for suspected psychic ability and it's scaring them.  [/private to self]

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes! And the gifts from Duncan and Iggy :D I got sixteen voicemails between my dads and brothers. My entire family = dorks. It was a good day and I am exhausted. Had some cake and took a nap. Good way to complete the first day of being seventeen! I took Verona's dog, The Captain, for a walk a few minutes ago and while today is the first day of spring it was a bit nippy! I can't wait for warmer weather.

Oh! And I talked Miss Holmes into a book club! She said she had an idea for a few different sorts and she'd post about it after this weekend but I'm really excited. It'll be fun, right?

This weekend will be good. I can feel it!

.8: Bad day :( [

Two nosebleeds and a headache that hurt so bad I threw up. So I reluctantly took a sick day and stayed in bed. I feel a lot better now! I thought about playing Wii in the rec room but someone was watching a loud movie. So I'm in the library on one of the computers and these pop ups keep coming up telling me I'm fat and how to lose weight. I'm getting sick of it! Is this some sick technopathic joke? Ugh! Whatever. I won't let it get to me! I'm better than that!

I hate to admit it but I absolutely adore the Happy Bunny stickers and things! I have this as a shirt;

I have to admit to watching a really old tape of Reading Rainbow I had that I can't believe still plays! One of my brothers sent it along in a package of stuff they found when cleaning a closet. Exciting! He also sent me a German Simpsons DVD --- Iggy! You have to see this. Seriously. I watched a few minutes and was grinning. The voices are brilliant. He also sent me some racist gum? Well that's what it says on the package. I think it's foreign and supposed to say something else - what, I have no idea.

My new roommate is a sweetheart! Just throwing that out there! It's so nice having someone else in the room all the time.

No nosebleeds today. It's a record!

English exam this morning. I feel pretty good about it! I know everyone is writing about exams and how down they feel from all the studying but I have to say it feels good to get this out of the way! I think I might pig out on some of the cake I spied in the cafeteria and drink some HI-C and then... take a nap? Sounds like exam day to me. I'm not nearly as stressed as I thought I would be.

To jump on the band wagon... I love Wii Fit!

I rule. Really. I wasted my lunch break on eating nutty bars and playing this Wii game, Nerf N-Strike. I've never been too good at shooting games but it's fun and there's no blood so I feel a lot better. I need to go to the gym and run around or something. Holidays and all those cookies and the past two days I haven't really ate right. The last thing I need is a summer of not wearing a bathing suit. So! I have a schedule laid out and planned today and I am going to stick to it! I love schedules.

I totally love watched one of those horrible small-claims court shows. So this woman claimed her tenant had drug problems and that she witnessed her and her friends snorting her dad. As in he was cremated and his ashes? Yeah. Either that alone proves that drugs are bad and make you do horrible things or it was completely made up and I was a sucker falling for it.

Anyway! Karaoke night? Wasn't someone setting this up so finals didn't seem so gloomy?

.4: an entry about bread. [
posted on the 9th of January

I've been experimenting with the bread maker I got for Christmas and am probably the only person who wears a sort of goggles when cooking. I've had things explode on me before and I get all involved and make a mess. You have no idea how many times I get salt in my eyes and stand around wiping tears as I try and read a recipe for something! I can't cut onions, I have to have someone else do that. Anyway, I think I'm going to enlist Derek in my quest for the ultimate bread. He'll probably laugh at me. It's a lot more complicated than making my own paper and stuff! Even with a machine.

I also realize I have an unnatural obsession for those mouth sprays/drips. You know, the ones that give you nice breath? I realized I had three different kinds in my pockets today. I brush my teeth and I even floss and sometimes use those white strips and do just about everything you can to ensure a healthy mouth and I'm pretty sure my breath has never offended someone and yet here I am, obsessing. Oh well. I love minty cleanliness!

.3: New Year! [
posted on the 30th of December

]
I was going to stay at home till the New Year but one of my brothers was driving through so he took me along and dropped me off this morning! Six bags when I had only left with one! Eight bags if you count my purse and backpack, actually. So my half of my room is so full it's pretty ridiculous. I have yet to go through and organize. Most of it is clothes and crafts and stuff. I got a baseball mitt and ball for Christmas...  appearently I need to be more athletic? The mitt smells lovely, though. Nice and leathery. I feel horrible something died and that I have to stick my hand in it to catch a ball. Oh well. Choose battles, I guess. Along with all my bags I had to carry my four foot tall stuffed penguin! My brothers get into this whole problem with wanting me to be a guy and roughing me up but then they buy me all this cute stuff. It's funny and I'm going to miss them. This place just doesn't have a masculine-enough vibe to feel homely.

.2: Cinnamon roll [

I want a cinnamon roll. Better yet, I want to play "Can't Touch Those Cinnamon Rolls" which is a tradition played by children who try to find a hidden cinnamon roll/bun. How cute does that sound? Although, frankly, I can only imagine where one might hide something like that and you wouldn't know what it's been touching so, really, perhaps not.

I'm going to start my piano lessons back up for the new year. It's going to be my main new years resolution.

I sort of want to go caroling.

.1: Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree [
posted on the 7th of December

Brenda Lee singing "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" is my favorite Christmas song. The reasoning is very simple and I'm sure plenty of you have heard and agree that it really does sound like when she says "Later we'll have some pumpkin pie" that the pumpkin sounds distinctly like a certain cuss at various parts in the song. It makes me smile. I suppose I'm that immature? Oh well :-)

Anyone having a Dark Knight party on Tuesday? The webcam feature to do your own commentary is pretty stupid, but I sort of want to do that... so yeah. *coughs* I'm having a really geeky entry here. I am also oddly interested in puppeteers... who randomly decides they want to do puppetry? Ventriloquism is interesting. Does anyone remember that movie with Adrien Brody? Dummy. It had Milla Jovovich in it and I absolutely loved that movie.
